Background

I grew up by the coast of a small island in Indonesia (Bintan), where life moves with the sea. Seeing fishermen return with uncertain catches made me wonder if there was a better way to produce food from the sea. Determined, I began a bachelor's degree in aquaculture.

This pursuit has since taken me across the globe, from rural hatcheries in Southeast Asia to a PhD in advanced aquaculture systems in Norway. Fourteen years later, I am still driven by the same ambition: how do we produce healthier fish in sustainable ways for generations to come?
